February Pictures

February was a fast and furious kind of month.  Between being sick and packing up the house to move at the end of the month, we weren't able to have too many adventures.  I feel bad that we haven't been able to go on our daily adventures ever since this baby started making me so sick.  I miss our excursions and you're getting sick of being stuck inside too!  I keep telling you "just wait until we're at the new house. . .we'll have so much more room to play, and a backyard too!"
You grabbed a hex key and started to "fix the bed" you told me - because I was taking all the screws out to get it ready for moving!

You have decided you need to be in all my belly pics for the next baby.  I have been taking pictures with whatever fruit compares to the size the baby is that week, so in this picture I had an apple.  I let you hold it for the picture, when suddenly you started chowing down on it!

Ahh, "chocolate cookies."  You very careful peel the cream out and eat it, then leave the cookie parts on the table.

Oreos and green smoothie for breakfast.  It was just that kind of day.  Thankfully you love your green smoothies!

Watching Daddy play ward ball.

We hosted a Pull-Ups party and I caught this cute shot of you and Ellie!

Another round of belly shots.  This time you insisted Dino be in the pic too.

Bedhead!

I asked you to mix up the Rubik's cube for me to do again and this is what you came up with.

Early morning - you weren't ready to face the camera yet, but I really wanted to get a picture since Pocket was snuggling with you.

Sometimes. . .I just clean you up, and don't ask questions about how you got wet in the first place.

We've recently reintroduced you to Play-Dough and you love it!  At first you just liked to take a knife and cut little pieces off of it.

My sweet tooth finally returned after months of not eating sugar, so we made cookies and I unwittingly created a cookie dough monster when I let you try some of the dough!  I didn't let you eat more than just licking the mixer though.

I put on a movie for you at Rachel's house and by the time I had it set up, you had just made yourself right at home in her bed.

Couldn't resist photographing this soap butt!

Moving Day! I lifted you into the U-Haul thinking you'd love it, but instead you burst into tears.

Pregnancy announcement for baby #2

This is the picture we took for our pregnancy announcements for your sibling.  I just love your cheeseball grin!

January Pictures

Sorry Buddy. . .not a lot of pictures in January.  I was too sick.
At some point during the night you remade your bed on the floor.  I found you like this in the morning.  We transitioned you to your toddler bed after Christmas since Grammy and Grandpa King got you a mattress.  It's been a fairly easy transition, I guess you were ready!

I was trying to take a picture of your scar after the bandaids came off.  It's hardly noticeable in pictures!  It's right in the middle of your forehead.

You prefer silly pictures.

You have started using the playmat that came with your dino set from Nana and Papa.  You love to squeeze all the pieces onto it.

You have recently discovered the joy that comes from snuggling with a warm puppy.  Most often it's Little Red since she's a little fatter and more apt to laying around on the couch.  Pocket will snuggle with you too but it has to be on her terms and since she's so active she doesn't stay still for long.

More snuggling with Red while watching cartoons.

Aunt Isha always buys you the best clothes.  Superman is definitely your favorite superhero.

I wanted to take a picture of your blue, blue eyes.

As a spur of the moment decision, we went to a matinee at our little Spanish Fork theater.  We saw Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.  You love the little kiddie tray that gives you popcorn, a drink, and an Airhead candy.

For Daddy's birthday he hosted a Nickelcade party.  He reserved a party room and brought in a bunch of Chic-fil-A.  You had so much fun, especially since a couple of your ward friends were present.

You and Ellie probably played this water gun game a dozen times.  You both would get so excited as soon as the water started!

December Pictures

Looking out the window at the snowfall.

You love winter because of all the Cuties we can buy!  You have several a day and can peel them all by yourself.

My silly boy.  Thanks to your long hair, a lot of people didn't even notice your bandaid, even though you were sporting it for 3 weeks!

You've figured out how to push chairs all over the house to get what you need.

This dinosaur was in a Bennett-imposed time-out on the naughty step (I think you were mad at it because you accidentally stepped on it and hurt your foot).

On this morning I decided to take a bath.  I put on a movie for you downstairs then went upstairs to fill up the tub.  I went to grab a towel, and when I came back in this was what I found!  You had heard the water running, stripped down, and stolen my bath!

Just chillin' with Daddy and Pocket.

Eating some sandwich upside down on the couch.

First taste of Nutella!  You can tell by your face that it was a hit!

Sick day.

We spent a looooot of time in December snuggling on the couch, watching movies and playing on my phone and computer.  I was so very sick the first few months that I was pregnant with baby #2 but you were so good at playing on your own on the floor in front of me, or being content with snuggles instead of physical play.

Hiding in the high chair cupboard while waiting for our turn to be seated at a restaurant.

Your Christmas duds for church!

You were so exhausted after church this day because you had refused to nap.  You fell asleep in your high chair while eating a snack, so we transferred you to Daddy's lap.

Helping Daddy take down the Christmas decorations.

Like father like son. The best part was that when you guys heard the camera shutter, you both simultaneously turned to see what it was!

More snuggling on the couch.  We love group selfies.

Christmas 2013

Daddy did all the work for Christmas this year since I was pregnant and sick.  He got a bunch of little goodies and filled up your stocking that Nana made in only two days while they were here!  On Christmas morning he woke you up since you were sleeping late and you had fun exploring your stocking, although you were pretty confused by it.

You insisted on carrying all your treasures from your stocking downstairs.  Daddy had filled it with a couple books, a Cutie, a car, some bubble bath, and  M&Ms.

Daddy had bought you 3 gifts - a dinosaur, Chutes & Ladders, and a play tool kit.

Later on we went to Grammy and Grandpa King's for lunch with everyone before Rosh left for Colorado.  I caught you a little while after lunch back at the table finishing off everyone's goblets of cider!

Visit from Nana and Papa

We had so much fun when Nana and Papa came to visit in December!
We FINALLY put together the train set you got from Grandma Beverly for your birthday.  I had been telling you for months that we would open it when Nana came.  You were thrilled to put the track together, but burst into tears when Papa got the train working electronically!  You just wanted to push it yourself.

We went to the Natural History museum.  Your favorite part by far was the dinosaurs.

Don't be fooled by the fake pleasantness in this picture.  You refused to eat your dinosaur cookie at the museum (heaven knows why) and then were cranky afterward because you were hungry.

We went to Temple Square where it was SO COLD!  We didn't stay long because of the cold snap Utah was experiencing that week.

You had great fun making sugar cookies. . .

. . .and decorating them.  You also had fun snitching cookies to eat the rest of the week.

We had a "Christmas morning" while Nana and Papa were here.  You weren't much interested in the cinnamon roll pancakes or special breakfast, but you absolutely love the dinosaur set they got you!
