Three weeks old! That is crazy! We are learning more about you and loving you more and more every day!
Some things about you at 3 weeks:
- I left you alone for the first time today! I had to go in to work for a couple hours so Kavita babysat you while I went to work. I had a hard time leaving you but you did really well, except for being hungrier than the amount of milk I brought!
- You are definitely Daddy's "little man" as he likes to call you. He was in love with you already but somewhere over this past week you two have gotten into a good groove as far as the practical things go - changing diapers, bottle feeding, changing clothes, naps. You like to nestle into Daddy's neck, froggy-style, and take naps. You only do that for him, not for anyone else. He's also really good at calming you down when you're being fussy, just like when you were in the womb!
- You are quickly becoming known for being "all thunder no lightning" as Daddy says. Several times a day it will sound like you've created a poopy blowout for us but when we go to change you there's hardly anything there at all.
- You are NOISY! You grunt and groan and squeak all day long, both awake and asleep. We've had to learn to discern actual fusses and cries apart from your regular noisiness, before we figured that out we were getting up to check on you every 15 minutes because we thought you were fussing.
- You are growing like a weed! You had your first doctor's appt last Friday (2 1/2 wks) and have gained a full pound since birth! You are still wearing preemie clothes but we think that will only last another week or so!
- You like to suck on the tip of Daddy's nose when he holds you close to play with you.
- Your hair is getting darker but your eyes are still stormy blue!
